Orthoceras is the fossil remains of an ancient mollusk that lived more than 400 million years ago. The preserved shell is all that remains of this ancestor of our modern day squid. Orthoceras range in size from less than a centimeter to more than 6 feet long. They are found in the Sahara desert in Morocco which once was the Sahara Sea!
This is a great bowl to put on top of a dresser for coins, jewelry or used to put fruit, nuts or other food.
