Dark, rich purple Amethyst geode from Uruguay measures approx.  7 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 1 1/2″.  On the stand it displays at approx. 4 1/4″ high.

Amethyst is a variety of Quartz with ferric iron inclusions which give its purple color.

Amethyst transmutes negative energy in to positive energy.  This a great piece for a desk, coffee table or book shelf. If it should become dusty it is easily cleaned with an old toothbrush and tap water.

This geode doesn’t look like anything but an ugly rock on the outside but look how beautiful it is on the inside.  It’s a good reminder to always look for the beauty within.
