Why we love it:

This geode is really unusual!  There are plenty of geodes out there but this one has a mysterious geologic story.

Simply put, a geode is a rock with crystals inside.  But why and how would a geode have three separate chambers?

We have had Geology professors study this geode.  They have not been able to tell us definitively what caused this interesting formation. The geologic conditions over time including moisture, pressure and temperature all play a part in this story.  When the crystals in this geode grew and stopped growing what exactly was happening in the geologic formation where they were found?  The truth is we just don’t know.

Quartz colors

This geode has Rose Quartz, Amethyst and Clear Quartz crystals.  The Rose Quartz are in a bubbly botryoidal formation with sparkly small druzy Quartz.
